Gazes of Origin

For us, this compilation work we present is an inventory of emotions from the wonderful women who are part of six indigenous peoples of Sonora: Yoeme Yaqui, Yoreme Mayo, Makurawe, O'ob Pima, Comcáac, and Kikapú.

Gazes that are light, dreams, claims, pains, pride, tears... gazes that are strength, innocence, anguish, silence, fear, hope... gazes that are rooted in the past but offer their fruits in this crucial present for their destiny.

These are the gazes of origin: eyes of the soul, ancestral songs, praises to the earth that is mother, sister, daughter, wife, friend...
It is our desire that this inventory of emotions be a round trip journey. And that you add an emotion to this set of images. With this, we consider ourselves more than grateful.
