INTERNATIONAL DAY OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES
August 9th marks the International Day of Indigenous Peoples, a call to continue the struggle to maintain their rights, their identities, and their rights to their traditional territories and natural resources.

On June 26, 2025, Misión Kateri Civil Association and the Sonoran Institute of Culture signed an agreement to promote, strengthen, and preserve the cultural heritage of the indigenous groups of our state.
FIRST MEETING OF PIMA LEADERS
Mission Kateri was part of the First Meeting of Pimas Leaders held in the Municipality of Ónavas, Sonora, from March 7 to 9, 2025, within this framework, we had the opportunity to discuss the event's objectives with INAH researcher and great collaborator of this association, Alejandro Aguilar Zeleny.

SANTA CATALINA DE ALEJANDRÍA DE CAMOA PILGRIMS' CENTER AND MUSEUM
We invite you to learn about the spirituality of the Yoreme Mayo people at the Santa Catalina de Alejandría de Camoa Pilgrims' Center and Museum, which opened on November 25, 2022; this community belongs to the municipality of Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico, and was founded in 1614 by the Jesuit missionary Father Pedro Méndez.
